I am looking for any non-working or unwanted or access points for study. I'll offer $20 - $30 ea. I dont care what type they are... b, g, . If you have any that dont boot, or just dont work, thats what I'm after.
I want to see what the cause of the problems are, and also if any "bricked" (killed) APs due to failed firmware upgrades etc.. can be revitalised with either Jtag or other means..
I am also working on some software for the rtl8186 soc (System on One Chip).
BTW, has anyone got access to any JTAG devices? or know of a cheap one or a good set of easy schematics that is a proven design. I havent worked with JTAG much at all... I think the last time I didnt even finish building the device.

I have a few Minitars that are bricked and a half-working Linksys WAP11 that was first used as the inaugural "Air-Stream-Skye" access point so many years ago :P
The minitars just died for no apparent reason and appear to power up but do nothing (I think). The Linksys works 100% until you start pushing data through it, at which point it promptly resets for no apparent reason (pretty sure something happened when we realised the Linksys had been sitting in 3 inches of water after a few months)..

i have a dlink 900 that wont transmitt more then 50m
also a tard that i just cant reset / cant figure out the ip
but still transmitt ssid
