A friend of mine has asked me to see if anyone is interested in a new AP in the TTP area. Below is the info he has asked me to pass on:
My house is on North East road. U can see a big area from my roof including over to TTP, Hospital and possibly TAFE. Im not sure about tree coverage between the TAFE and my house.
I am interested in setting a link up at my house. I have a Hills 25dbi antenna that can be used as a link back. I am willing to allow my house to be used for a major node with a waveguide if there is interested. I do not have the money for the aditional hardware I am just offereing space and time.
I have a rack mount cabinet with a rack mount UPS that can keep my servers up for about 20mins. I am looking at adding an aditional UPS and possibly a generator at a later stage.
All the computers run from a seperate electrical circuit to the rest of the house to isolate it from potential problems.
My house has a ADSL+2 AnnexM connection currently getting 15meg Down - 1meg Up.
My roof is corrugated iron with easy access.
He was previously located at Modbury but was unable to connect to the network (going back several years now) and has recently decided to get back into the hobby.
Please let me know if anyone is interested/can provide hardware.
