There was my link to Skye running pretty well (trees in the way) when I decided my grid parabola seemed a few degrees off so of course I swivelled it slightly, long story short my connectivity is now much worse!! Subsequent attempts to get it back have been less than successful, well I can pass packets if you don't mind >40% packet loss - ouch! I'll be dragging the laptop up on the roof this arvo, hopefully I can get it back to the sweet spot ...

Climbed on the roof with my Debian Etch iBook in tow not long after the first blog post and utilised "ping -f -s 1400 10.122.128.1"...
Three or four nudges of the antenna got things to below 5% packet loss .. can I get better through trees .. ?
Upstream is poor compared to downstream, approx 25KB/sec vrs 400KB/sec respectively, my informal testing did show consistency of data rates across the few minutes total transfer. See how they hold up ...
